Ode to the Ocean

Ode to the ocean

Waves crashing down
the smell of salt water fills the air
swish swash goes the water
harsh then gentle waves crashing down going in then out
sun sets on the blue ocean turning it pink, orange and yellow.
The sun stays in the sea till morning
It lights the dark ocean for creatures to see
It brightens their day then it returns
to the top of the sea for all to see.
Ode to the ocean and its sweet surf in the summer days
I hope you stay with me for many days as we please.

  1. I like the rhythm of this poem, how it captures the movement of the ocean.
